Liverpool Animal Shelter’s longest-staying dogs are gearing up for adoption in racing style ahead of the Melbourne Cup this Tuesday.
Vera, Sheila, Barney, Marley and Melody are set to stun the animal shelter in their gorgeous racing rugs kindly donated by Goulburn Greyhound racing club.
These playful dogs are excitedly waiting for their new owners and for this week only will be sold at a special Pet of the Week price of $150.
Liverpool City Council Mayor Wendy Waller encourages residents to visit the animal shelter if you are thinking of buying a pooch.
“We have so many gorgeous animals who just want a family to love and care for them,” Mayor Waller said.
“These beautiful dogs have been at the shelter for some weeks and we can’t wait to see who is first out the gate to their new home.”

Adoption includes microchipping, desexing, vaccination, flea and worm treatment and lifetime registration in the State of NSW.
