Aria-nominated singer song-writer Lior to appear at MAC in November

Acclaimed Australian singer/song-writer Lior returns to Mildura Arts Centre next month supporting the release of his fifth studio album, Between You + Me.

Lior will perform at MAC for one night only on Thursday 8 November from 7.30pm, providing a chance for Sunraysia residents to experience live, original Australian music from an artist who’s been described as one of the nation’s finest live performers.

Lior burst onto the Australian music scene in 2005 with his stunning debut album Autumn Flow, which became one of the most successful independent debuts in Australian history, spearheaded by singles including This Old Love, Daniel and Autumn Flow.

His subsequent releases, Corner of an Endless Road (2008) and Tumbling into the Dawn (2010) were also hugely successful, debuting at number two on the Australian album charts and topping the independent charts for several weeks.

Lior’s debut album saw him nominated for three Aria awards, including Best Male Artist, as well as Triple J’s prestigious J Award nomination for Album of the Year. He’s since gone on to earn three more Aria nominations.

Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica said that based on the feedback from Lior’s first performance at MAC, next month’s visit is certainly one not to be missed.

“Lior is recognised for his dynamic and moving performances and we have the opportunity to experience this first-hand without needing to travel to a major capital city,” Cr Modica said.

Lior will be supported at MAC by one of Melbourne’s brightest new voices in modern folk, Domini Forster.
