Traineeships to kick start your local government career

From horticulture to workplace health and safety, nine exciting traineeship positions are now up for grabs with Central Highlands Regional Council.

‘Whether you are fresh out of school, looking to re-enter the workforce or just wanting to expand your skills, these positions are an opportunity to embark on a fulfilling career with local government,’ said Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr Des Howard.

‘Local government is a unique employer, offering more than 400 occupations locally and career stability that’s transferable throughout Australia.

Mr Howard said successful applicants would earn while they learn, gaining a nationally recognised qualification in their field.

‘Anyone who is interested in these positions can find out more on council’s website, including eligibility criteria and applications forms,’ he said.

Applications must be received by 5pm on Wednesday 21 November 2018.
