Friday, November 30, 2018, 6:30 – 8:30pm Brisbane’s towering 22 metre tall Christmas tree is returning to King George Square, and on Friday 30 November you can witness the magical moment when its twinkling lights are switched on. The tree has glittering lights and a custom-built star with 8600 new LED lights that will flash in colourful and festive patterns. The tree will be sustainably powered through a solar power source in the form of Santa’s Workshop, a new addition which contains solar panels and a battery bank.
