A central section of Beardy Street in Armidale will be closed to traffic on 13 and 14 November so the road can be resurfaced.
The top 50mm of the road surface will be removed and replaced with new asphalt, complemented by new traffic islands and new line marking.
Beardy Street will be closed to all vehicles between Jessie Street and Allingham Street, from 5.30am on Tuesday 13 November until 2pm on Wednesday 14 November.
Footpaths will remain open for pedestrian access.
The project is expected to take one day for the asphalt works and an additional working day to install the traffic islands and complete line marking, weather permitting.
Work will be limited to 6am to 6pm to limit any noise impact on residents.
