9 November 2018 - Media release

Campaspe Shire Council will continue to offer a full program of immunisations across the region in 2019, providing specialised care in a relaxed environment.

Public Environments Manager, Kate Lemon said changes were made in this year’s program, to session venues, times and dates, which has received positive feedback from the community across the year.

“Following positive feedback from the community across the year, council will continue to offer immunisations in Echuca, Kyabram, Lockington, Rochester, Rushworth, Stanhope and Tongala, with only one minor alteration to session duration,” Ms Lemon said.

Effective from January 2019, all morning sessions will be 45 minutes, running from 9 – 9.45am.

“Council is delighted to learn that community comment reaffirms the success of the current program and as such, venues will stay the same.”

“The introduction of evening sessions in Rochester this year has been popular and the space gained in changes to venues at Kyabram and Rochester has made the environment much more relaxing and accessible for families,” Ms Lemon said.

Campaspe holds a strong immunisation rate within our shire with 94.25 per cent of children aged 0 – 5 vaccinated, compared to Victoria at 93.4 per cent.

The 2019 immunisation schedule is available on council’s website, customer service centres, immunisation sessions, or from the maternal and child health service.
