Partial closure of Adventure Playground for repairs

Parts of the Adventure Playground will be closed from Monday, 12 November for repair works to rubber softfall surfaces. Staged works will occur near the carousel and adjacent swing bay, the giant slide, flying fox bay, sandpit and small slide. The areas will reopen once the softfall has cured and dried. Works are expected to take one week.

Welcome Wagon

The next Welcome Wagon Mayoral Reception will be held on Tuesday 27 November at 5.30 pm, at the Bathurst Visitors Information Centre. The Welcome Wagon provides a great opportunity to meet other new residents. You will also receive a welcome pack to help you settle in to your new life in Bathurst. Food & Flix

Food & Flix, an outdoor cinema experience, will be held on Friday 23 November from 6:30pm -

9:45pm at the Adventure Playground.

Be Water Wise – Pool Covers

Uncovered pools can lose 5mm of water per day due to evaporation, adding up to a staggering 55,000 litres annually. Using a cover can reduce water loss by anywhere from 40-90% www.bathurst.nsw.gov.au/waterwise

What’s on @ the Library

International Games Day

The library will host a day of games and fun on Saturday 10 November from 10.00 am to 2.30 pm. Gaming enthusiasts will be there on the day to help you find your new favourite game.

Cyber Safety Talk

An information session will be held on Tuesday, 20 November at 4.30pm for young people and their guardians, presented by Constable Matthew Holden, Chifley Youth Liaison Officer, about using the internet safely, understanding cyber bullying and online grooming.

NMRM Celebrating 50 Years of Holden

This year marks 50 years since Holden’s first outright victory in the October touring car classic at Mount Panorama. To mark this anniversary, the National Motor Racing Museum (NMRM) will feature a special exhibition of some classic race winning Holden race cars.

Freedom of Entry

1/19 RNSWR will exercise the Battalion’s right of Freedom of Entry into Bathurst on Saturday 10 November at 11.30am as part of the Centenary of Anzac commemorations. The march will involve up to 200 members of the battalion and will start in Keppel Street before making its way along William Street.

Pet Desexing Program

A community pet desexing program will be held from 19 to 30 November. The program provides a subsidised cost for the desexing and vaccinations of cats and dogs and is open to pensioners and low-income earners. Places are strictly limited and bookings are essential. Draft CBD CCTV Policy Public Exhibition

Council has prepared a Draft Bathurst Central Business District (CBD) Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Policy, which is on exhibition for community feedback. Hard copies of the Draft Policy are available for viewing at the Civic Centre and Bathurst Library, or can be downloaded from the Your Say Bathurst website. Submissions can be lodged via Your Say Bathurst or in writing to The General Manager, Private Mail Bag 17, Bathurst, NSW, 2795. Submissions can be made until 4.00pm Thursday 15 November 2018.
