Stars of the stage come to Bairnsdale

The David Hobson show, cancelled due to illness, is being replaced with 'Encore!' starring Marina Prior, Silvie Paladino and Michael Cormick.

Recently singer David Hobson had a medical procedure and, unfortunately, his recovery has taken longer than expected and he has now been advised not to sing for a couple of weeks.

Therefore he is unable to perform at the Forge Theatre, Bairnsdale on Thursday 15 November 2018. Naturally, David is extremely disappointed but he looks forward to coming back to Bairnsdale sooner rather than later.

As a replacement the Forge Theatre hirer, Promac Productions Australia, is thrilled to announce that the show ‘Encore!’ on Thursday 15th of November 2018, at 7.30pm at the Forge Theatre in Bairnsdale will be presented by none other than Marina Prior, Silvie Paladino and Michael Cormick.

With such wonderful performers as these if you already have a ticket just come along to the show at the Forge Theatre starting at 7.30pm as your seat is still reserved in your name, and if you don’t yet have a ticket then hurry as only a few seats remain.

Marina Prior has become known as Australia’s Leading Lady of musical theatre. She has played over thirty lead roles in such shows as Les Miserables, Camelot (opposite Richard Harris), The Phantom Of The Opera, West Side Story, Guys & Dolls and Hello Dolly.

Well known to Australian audiences through her appearances on Carols By Candlelight, she has toured in concert with international tenor José Carreras and, most recently, Il Divo. Marina is well known to Gippsland audiences from her Opera by the Lakes appearance in 2015.

Silvie Paladino is one of Australia’s most versatile and talented entertainers performing throughout Australia, Asia and London’s West End. Her performances include lead roles in Les Miserables, Cats, Miss Saigon, Mamma Mia! and Chess.

Well known to Australian audiences through her appearances on Carols By Candlelight, she most recently toured with Michael Bolton and was a Gippsland Opera performer for Opera by the Lakes in 2017.

Michael Cormick is an internationally renowned singer and actor with a diverse career throughout Australia, the United Kingdom and Europe.

He has played lead roles in shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret, The Rocky Horror Show, The Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Mamma Mia! and Beauty and the Beast. Michael has also has performed in two Royal Command performances before Her Majesty The Queen.
