Know somebody who embodies community spirit? Do you know a top-notch sportsman or woman, or a volunteer who works tireless in the background?

Nominations for the annual Australia Day awards are now open.

There are a number of categories including:

Citizen of the Year Young Citizen Award Sports Person Award Services to Sports Award Community Event of the Year Bossie Mitchell Service to the Community Award; and the Kerrigundi Award.

Nominations close Friday, 18 January.

To nominate you can download the forms or drop into the Council Administration Building in Linsley St.
