Bossley Park Preschool under construction.Enrolments for Fairfield City Council’s preschool and day care services are now open for 2019.
Fairfield City Council is the area’s largest not-for-profit provider of preschool and day care services and is proud to offer preschool fees as low as $10 per day for eligible families.
2019 will be an exciting year for Fairfield City’s children and family services. Early in the new year, Council will open a new preschool in the grounds of Bossley Park Public School on Bossley Road.
The 40-place Bossley Park Preschool will replace the 20-place mobile preschool that has been operating out of a room at Bossley Park Public School, offering an extra 100 sessions of preschool per week to the community.
Enrolment for this new preschool is being prioritised for children who turn 4 on or before 31 July 2019, and children who turn 3 on or before the 31 July whose parents have a current health care card or concession card.
Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said he is proud of the high quality, affordable service offered to families in Fairfield City.
“Our low fees ensure that children have access to vital early education services and that parents are able to afford quality care for their children, which allows them to return to work or their own education,” Mayor Carbone said.
“85% of a child’s brain develops before they go to school. Research shows attending preschool, particularly in the year before school, has a positive impact on a child’s brain development.”
In 2019, Council will provide quality programs catering for the needs, interests and abilities of all children, including:
