Make a difference this Christmas
City of Bayswater 12 Nov 2018

A chance to brighten the Christmas of others is just around the corner, with the City of Bayswater’s Annual Christmas Food Appeal.

Accepting non-perishable food items and gifts, the appeal aims to provide much needed items to families in need during the festive season.

City of Bayswater Mayor Dan Bull encouraged everyone in the community who is able to spare an item or two to get involved.

“While Christmas is a wonderful time of year for most of us, it can also be a particularly hard time for more vulnerable members of our community.

“Simple items like pasta sauces, toiletries, tea, coffee or toys can really make a difference in the lives of people doing it tough this year.

“All donations will be going to Orana House, who provide a range of essential services to women and children experiencing family and domestic violence.”

Non-perishable items can be donated at the following collection points from Monday 12 November to Monday 10 December.

City of Bayswater Civic Centre, 61 Broun Avenue, Morley Morley Library, 240 Walter Road West, Morley Bayswater Library, King William Street, Bayswater The RISE, 28 Eighth Ave, MaylandsBayswater Waves Aquatic Centre, Broun Ave and Priestley Street, Embleton

Items of particular need this year include tinned tuna and meat, pasta sauces, toys for children over ten years of age, treats, lollies, Christmas snacks, toiletries, tea and coffee.
