Baw Baw Shire Council is seeking community feedback for potential open space improvements for the George and Eliza Jones Reserve in Warragul.
This reserve was established as part of residential developments of Martin Court and Fernery Boulevard and contains trees of heritage significance, a dam and a natural environment waterway.
Currently, the only open space improvement contained in the reserve is a picnic shelter. There is no formal access path through the reserve.
Draft designs have been prepared for community consideration and include options for open space improvements including:
Boardwalk and viewing platform overlooking the lake Path connection to Martin Court Linking paths within the reserve Safety fencing around the lake Directional signage Tree and vegetation plantings for buffer zones and shade.Feedback can be submitted online via a short online form or in writing via the downloadable consultation pack.
Further options proposed by the community will also be considered.
There is no funding allocated to implementing the draft designs, however with a community supported plan Council can consider allocating future funding or seek external funding opportunities.
Feedback submission must be received by 5.00pm Friday 14 December.

Following this community consultation, feedback will be consolidated and considered before further recommendations are made to Council.
