Nogoa November program out now

There’ll be plenty to see and do on Saturday 24 November at the Emerald Botanic Gardens from 10.00am.

Be sure to bring the family for a free, fun day to celebrate the river at the heart of Emerald and 30 years of the gardens.

There will be many activities including the following:

Mayor’s BBQ

Join councillors and council staff for a snag and cold drink from 11.00am.

CHRC Rangers, CQ Pet Rescue and Maraboon Vets

Learn about responsible pet ownership. Dog microchipping available on the day with the first 50 dogs for free. Dogs must be registered with CHRC and proof must be shown. Bring your pooch for a hydrobath.

CHRRUP treasure hunt

Explore the botanic gardens like never before. Prizes can be won! Sign-up on the day at the CHRRUP tent.

Kayak tours

Go on a kayak tour on the Nogoa River. Tours leave every 30 minutes from the concrete ramp on the western side of the gardens. Sign-up on the day!

Yumba Bimbi

Get your fairy floss fix, popcorn and take part in nature play with your little one.

Fitzroy partnership for river health

Learn all about river health, water testing and water bugs.

Indigenous craft and culture tour

Learn about the gardens’ history, indigenous crafts and art.

Fun fair

Jumping castle, balloon craft and water play. Be sure to bring swimmers, towels and sunscreen.

There’ll also be coffee and ice cream.
