The City of Ballarat, on behalf of the people of Bunninyong and surrounds has welcomed a promise by the State Opposition to spend $1.9 million to upgrade sporting facilities at Royal Park and the Buninyong Recreation Reserve if it is elected at the 24 November poll.
Ballarat Mayor, Cr Samantha McIntosh says upgrades at Buninyong’s Royal Park and at the Recreation Reserve are both projects Council has lobbied for and will be particularly welcomed by soccer players and netballers in the area.
“Two new soccer pitches and change rooms at Royal Park and a new netball court at the Buninyong Recreation Reserve will make a world of difference to the Buninyong sporting community – increasing opportunities for participation, training and competition.”
“I hope the State Government will match this funding promise”.
