Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) in conjunction with Woodfordia Inc. is delighted to again play host the Festival of Small Halls Concert Tour Series.

TRC Chair Environment and Community Committee Cr Geoff McDonald said “Council is proud to be able to support the Festival of Small Halls Concert Tours to bring these national and international talented artists and their music to some of our smaller regional communities and halls”

“The concert series was born out of the inspiration and spirit of community. Communities like ours, large and small, with their rich traditions, are what make our region great” Cr McDonald said.

‘It’s a great opportunity for local communities’ to come together, catch up, chat, stay awhile, be entertained, unwind and have some fun.

Felton Hall on Sunday November 18 will be the last location in our Region for the Spring Concert Tour, but the Summer Tour kicks off in Westbrook, November 22 before moving onto, Brookstead, November 29, and Thornville, December 13.

Entry to the concert is $15. Under 16 is free. Light supper and drinks will be provided for a small fee as a fundraiser for your local hall committee.

‘Talented Aussie artist Harry Jakamarra and Canadian artists Maddison Violet will take to the Felton stage, singing up a storm and getting your feet tapping. Harry is best described as having a voice that ‘stops you dead in your tracks’ and to quote “Can pick a guitar or a Banjo like the devils on his tail”. Harry will be also joined by his younger brother Elwood Gray.

Canadian artists Maddison Violet will also take to the stage showing off their talents moving effortlessly from one genre to another. Their first two studio albums ‘Worry the Jury’ and ‘Caravan’ were critically acclaimed and their songs have featured in MOJO’s Top 10 playlist.

‘The Summer Series will see Old Man Luedecke a two-time JUNO Award winner playing a mean claw hammer banjo and Lucy Wise with her soulful voice, masterful storytelling, and intricate ukulele and guitar take to the stage.

To book your tickets for the Festival of Small Halls Concert at Felton you can buy tickets at the Felton Produce Store or visit https://smallhalls.iwannaticket.com.au for ticket purchases for any of the concerts.
