The Regional Pool Parties have been a great success across the Western Downs.

There is no better way for kids to cool off leading into summer than during the Western Downs Regional Council Pool Parties.

Kids in the region will be able to have fun in the sun with their mates this Saturday in Dalby.

Western Downs Regional Council has partnered with Swimfit and the local swimming club in Dalby to provide a great day out.

Western Downs Regional Council Spokesperson for Facilities Councillor Ray Brown said the Regional Pool Parties would be the best way to get into the school holiday spirit.

“When it starts to heat up in the Western Downs, there’s nothing better than cooling off at your local pool,” he said.

“Western Downs Regional Council has teamed up with Swimfit and our swimming clubs to provide a great day out for our kids, at an affordable cost.

“Entry will be just $2, and those funds will go straight back into our local swimming clubs to provide residents with the best experience when coming to the pool.”

Dalby Aquatic Centre Manager Kylie Johnston said her team was looking forward to providing a fun and exciting party for the region.

“Since Swimfit took over the Dalby Aquatic Centre, we have been overwhelmed with the support we have received from the community,” she said.

“We want families to know that there is no better place to cool off and spend quality time with each other than at the Dalby Pool.

“The Regional Pool Party will be the perfect way for Dalby kids to have a great experience with us.”

There will be plenty of inflatables for swimmers, as well as live entertainment from DJ Damo as part of Council’s Groovin’ Into Town event series.

Food and drink will be available for purchase.

A life guard will be on hand to make sure everyone has an enjoyable experience.

The Western Downs Regional Council Pool Parties will be held:

Saturday, 17 November, Dalby, Dalby Aquatic Centre Saturday, 24 November, Chinchilla, Chinchilla Aquatic and Fitness Centre
