Campbelltown Local Planning Panel meeting arrangements

The next Local Planning Panel Meeting will be held on Wednesday 28 November 2018 at 3.00pm.

Expressions of interest Campbelltown Council Design Excellence Review Panel

Campbelltown City Council invites suitably qualified persons to register interest in appointment to its newly established Design Excellence Review Panel (DERP).

The DERP will meet monthly to provide advice to Council on the design quality of certain development applications and planning proposals.

Panel members should have expertise in architecture, landscape architecture or urban design and preferably a current registration with their relevant professional body.

Panel members will be paid for attendance at each meeting. Further details on the operation of the panel are available from Council’s Coordinator Central Business Districts, Rana Haddad on 02 4645 4570.

Expressions of Interest including details addressing the core selection criteria as specified in Section 5B of the Apartment Design Guide shall be sent to Council (including reference to Campbelltown Design Excellence Review Panel) by Friday 14 December 2018.  Submissions can be made online, or email us at [email protected] or forward your submission in writing addressed to the General Manager, Campbelltown City Council, PO Box 57, Campbelltown NSW 2560.

Proposed Road Closing under Section 38B Roads Act 1993

In pursuance of the provisions of the Roads Act 1993, notice is hereby given that Campbelltown City Council proposes to close the Council public road listed in Schedule 1.

Schedule 1: The road is a residue section of road off Menangle Road, at Menangle Park known as Lot 1 DP 1247661, Parish of Menangle County of Cumberland.

Upon closure of the road, Council intends to transfer the land to an adjoining land owner.

Council at its meeting on 11 September 2018, resolved to publicly exhibit an amendment to the Campbelltown Sustainable City Development Control Plan. The objective of the proposed amendment is to insert local development guidelines to support the orderly development of the Caledonia Precinct, Ingleburn.

A copy of the proposed amendment and supporting information will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 14 November until Wednesday 12 December 2018 on Council’s website and at the ground floor of Council’s Civic Centre during Council’s ordinary office hours; at Campbelltown HJ Daley Library, corner Hurley Street and Camden Road; and Greg Percival Library, Cnr Oxford and Cumberland Rds, Ingleburn.

Exhibition of a Planning Proposal - Reclassification of land at 21 Deans Rd, Airds

Council is seeking feedback on a planning proposal to reclassify land at 21 Deans Rd, Airds. The objective of the planning proposal is to amend the Campbelltown Local Environmental Plan 2015 to enable the subject site to be reclassified from Community land to Operational land and permit subsequent transfer to the Tharawal Aboriginal Medical Centre.

A copy of the planning proposal and supporting information will be on public exhibition until Friday 30 November 2018 on Council’s website and at the ground floor of Council’s Civic Centre during Council’s ordinary office hours, at Campbelltown HJ Daley Library, cnr Hurley St and Camden Rd and Greg Percival Library, Cnr Oxford and Cumberland Rds, Ingleburn.

Temporary changes to the notification of Development Applications and Certificates

Temporary changes to the above is required during the festive season to ensure there is sufficient time for interested public to review and comment on development applications, while not causing unnecessary delays in the process for applicants.

Applications received on or after 3 December 2018 will be notified through to 28 January 2019. Applications received from 14 January 2019 will be notified in accordance with Council’s standard notification policy.

No public exhibitions will be commenced until 14 January 2019 except as determined by resolution of Council or directed by the General Manager. This may lead to an increase in the processing time of some applications by 2-6 weeks and proponents are being advised of this at the time of lodgement.

Development Proposal 12 Shaw Rd, Ingleburn

Council has received an Application from Cleanway Environmental Services Pty Ltd seeking to modify the development consent for a waste transfer station facility at Lot 9 DP 774110, 12 Shaw Rd, Ingleburn.

The proposal is Nominated Integrated Development and seeks to vary the General Terms of Approval issued by the NSW Environment Protection Authority. Campbelltown City Council is the consent authority for this application.

The application and accompanying Statement of Environmental Effects are on exhibition and available for review at the ground floor of Council’s Civic Centre during Council’s ordinary office hours; and at HJ Daley Library, Hurley St, Campbelltown; and Greg Percival Library, Cnr Oxford and Cumberland Rds, Ingleburn.
