Lunch with Karen Martini
Bayside City Council 21 Nov 2018

Council is hosting Karen Martini, acclaimed chef, restaurateur, author and presenter for a Bayside Business Network luncheon, Tuesday 4 December.

With a profile that includes resident cooking guru on Better Homes and Gardens and judge on My Kitchen Rules, Karen will share her recipe for becoming a multimedia powerhouse with local Bayside business owners.

Karen was a founding chef at the critically acclaimed Melbourne Wine Room and Sydney’s Icebergs Dining Room and Bar and held two chef’s hats in Sydney and Melbourne, and won, with Icebergs, the 2004 Best New Restaurant Award from The Sydney Morning Herald.

After 15 years at The Melbourne Wine Room, Karen and her partner Michael Sapountsis sold in 2011 to pursue new projects, including her current restaurant venture, co-owners of St Kilda’s much-loved pizzeria Mr. wolf.

Her kitchen career has been balanced by media commitments, cookbooks and much-loved recipe columns.

Martini is company, conversation, conviviality – with food and wine a conduit to all that. "There can never be enough, really," she says. "Life is just too short for bad food, bad wine and bad conversation."

Come along and enjoy some great conversation with Karen at this entertaining afternoon, spots are limited so get in fast.
