Top up the mulch before Christmas

Central Highlands’ residents will be able to access free mulch from the Emerald Transfer Station on the last November and first December weekend.

The mulch can be self-loaded into a car or utility on Saturday and Sunday 24 to 25 November and 1 to 2 December from 8.00am to 5.00pm.

A maximum of one cubic metre per household can be collected subject to availability.

Personal protective equipment, such as gloves, eyewear and closed-in shoes, and tools to load the mulch (shovel, fork) must be brought to the site.

Mulch is a result of green waste disposed of at the transfer station.
