Seaforth’s Harbour View Children’s Centre was once again filled with the excited squeals of delighted children this week as the building was officially reopened to the community.

Families, who were moved to a nearby centre in Balgowlah during the extensive renovations and extensions, were invited to a special celebration with centre staff and Mayor Regan before officially returning to the building in January 2019.

The child care centre will offer 52 child care places a day, with increased capacity for the number of three-year-old and younger children that can attend.

Apart from spectacular harbour views, the renovated facility’s features include outstanding disability access with a special lift ensuring access to the higher level outdoor play space.

Mayor Michael Regan was on hand to help the children cut the handmade “beaded craft ribbon” to commemorate the redevelopment. The centre, which offers best practice in child care facilities, complements Council’s first class range of long day care centres. The centres care for children from 6 weeks to school age with flexible pick-up and drop-off times, providing working parents with a stimulating, safe and interactive environment for their children to learn and play.

Limited places are available at Harbour View in January, and places are available at other Council centres located at Belrose, Brookvale, Dee Why, Manly, Narrabeen, North Harbour and Fairlight. Call 9942 2428 to book a tour today.
