Council funding will bring Australia Day to the region’s “backyards”

Gladstone Regional Council is offering groups in our region’s townships a helping hand to fly the Aussie flag and host a public community event on Australia Day.
The funding is aimed at providing the region’s smaller townships the opportunity to celebrate the 2019 Australia Day fun in their own “backyard.”
Each year Council offers funds to regional not-for-profit community groups to host a local event that complements Council’s major Australia Day celebrations which, in 2019, will be hosted at Millennium Esplanade, Tannum Sands.
Funding assistance is provided via Council’s Community Donations Program – Category 3 Regional Events Support – Australia Day.
Applicants will be assessed according to criteria outlined in Council’s Donations to Community Organisations Policy.
