Gregory Park1 Haig Road, Milton Sunday, December 9, 2018, 8:30am – 3pm Brisbane City Council is helping residents build their flood resilience. Every year Brisbane has large storms that bring heavy and sudden rainfall. Although we can’t control the weather, we can control the way we respond as a community and how we prepare our homes for these events. The Flood Hub showcases how design (construction methods, style of home, flooring, walls, electrical, plumbing) and building material choice can help Brisbane residents improve their flood resilience. Flood resilience is the ability to prepare for, live through and then return to normal household routines following a flood with the least amount of disruption. Come and see how you can mitigate the impacts of flooding on your home. Event type: Free Cost: Free Bookings: No bookings required.
