HEAT WAVE: Please take advantage of the following places to keep cool during this week's heat wave. COOKTOWN POOL: free entry from 5.30am-10am and 3pm-6pm all week (limited space from 3pm-5pm while Swim Club is on), and 1pm-6pm this weekend. COOKTOWN PCYC: Pop in and enjoy the air con (children must be supervised) from 9am to 9pm. Free movies, board games and activities from 5.30pm-9pm all this week. BLOOMFIELD LIBRARY: Open every day this week from 11am-2pm with lovely cool air conditioning. COEN: The Coen Wellbeing Centre and CYP buildings are open to the community all week. The Cooktown Library and Council's office are also open as per normal hours, and people are encouraged to drop in and get out of the heat.
