Advice of Shire Works – December 2018

The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup advises that the following works are in progress or programmed to commence in the near future.  Please note all works are subject to weather conditions, therefore dates may change.

UPPER CAPEL ROAD, KIRUP – Road reconstruct, widen and seal SLK 24.5 to SLK 26.5. Works have commenced and will continue in December 2018.

TREVENA ROAD, QUEENWOOD – Bridge Construction, MRWA with the Shire will be continuing preliminary works in December 2018, for the construction of the new bridge, with works continuing into the New Year.

ANNUAL RURAL ROADSIDE VEGETATION CONTROL – The Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup would like to advise the summer weed control program on road verges, is due to commence.  A professional vegetation control contractor will be engaged to undertake works on rural roads whilst the Shire’s Parks and Gardens staff will be managing weeds within the town sites.  Please contact the Shire’s Works & Services Department by phone on 9780 4209 or email [email protected] if you do not want your verge to be sprayed, assuming responsibility for weed control on your verge. Reminder: Weeds on private property are the responsibility of the landowner.

STEERE STREET, BALINGUP – New kerb drainage and asphalt overlay SLK 0.0 to SLK 0.17 and SLK 0.17 to SLK 0.33. Works scheduled to commence in the New Year.

Hours of operation are normally between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.  Works will be clearly signed and you are requested to exercise due care when travelling near or through these areas.  Delays are expected to be minimal.
