The Bairnsdale Outdoor Pool opens its gates for the 2018/19 swim season this Saturday, December 1 and to celebrate there will be free entry between 12pm to 3pm with large pool inflatables, jumping castle, pool games, barbecue and giveaways.
The East Gippsland Shire Council operated pool has 50-metre and toddlers’ pools, and a kiosk facility.
Throughout the season opening hours are based on the forecast temperature of the coming day and will be posted on the East Gippsland Shire Facebook page @EastGippyShire the evening prior.
Lap swimming:
6-8am Monday to Friday; 4-6pm weekends.
Recreational swimming:
23 degrees Celsius and below - 4-6pm.
24-34 degrees Celsius – 12-7pm (December 17 to January 29 and public holidays) and 3-7pm.
35 degrees Celsius and above - 10am-8pm.
Season memberships and casual entry available.
