Temporary Closure of Wallerawang Landfill

Lithgow City Council wishes to advise the temporary closure of Wallerawang Landfill on Wednesday 5th December 2018 to allow waste compaction operations to take place safely.

The temporary closure is necessary to allow the safe use of large machinery to place, compact and cover the waste.

Residents affected may use the Portland landfill on the day of the scheduled closure or the Lithgow solid waste facility to ensure there is minimal inconvenience.
