Tuesday, December 18 – Saturday, December 22, 2018 To celebrate the festive season in Brisbane, Brisbane City Council will be projecting Elizabeth Willing’s Strawberry Thief (After William Morris) from Tuesday 18th to Saturday 22nd December 2018. At this time of year, family and friends come together to share festive foods. Elizabeth Willing’s artwork Strawberry Thief (After William Morris) is a vibrant collection of local Indigenous foods such as macadamia nuts, bunya nuts, lilly pillies and Moreton Bay Bugs.  Reminiscent of William Morris style wall paper works, the artwork cleverly creates an eye-catching kaleidoscope using local foods. Elizabeth Willing’s practice explores the multi-sensory experiences of food, how we engage with it through sight and smell as well as taste, the cultural experiences of food, and how it shapes and is shaped by social traditions.
