Through the Royalties for Regions program, the Shire has been successful in securing $2,000,000 of project funds towards revitalising the Donnybrook town centre area.
The precise terms of the funding are yet to be agreed between the Shire and the State Government, and the Shire is seeking your feedback, ideas and innovations towards this revitalisation project.
Guidance from the State Government advises that the project funding is “provided to support the development of infrastructure and services that develop and broaden the economic base of Donnybrook, with a particular focus on maximising job creation and improving career opportunities”.
Preliminary planning from the Shire has focussed on the underutilised precinct between the Apple Fun Park and the Heritage listed Goods Shed (including the Goods Shed itself too), adjacent to the rail line.
