Notice of Intention to Lease - Site C, 101 Waller St

The Council gives notice under section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act) of its intention to enter into a lease with Benalla Men’s Shed in respect of the premises described below (Proposal).

The premises are known as Site C, 101 Waller Street, Benalla 3672 (Premises).

The principal terms of the lease will be:

A term of 10 years commencing on 1 March 2019 with options for 2 further terms of 5 years each (Term). No rent will be payable, however the tenant will be responsible for paying the fire services levy and the  building and grounds maintenance costs.

A person may make a submission on the Proposal. Any person proposing to make a submission under section 223 of the Act must do so by Wednesday 2 January 2019. All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.

Submissions should be addressed to the Council’s Chief Executive Officer, and can be hand delivered to the Customer Service Centre at 1 Bridge Street East, Benalla 3762 or posted to PO Box 227, BENALLA VIC 3671 or emailed to [email protected]

Any person requesting to be heard in support of his or her submission is entitled to be heard before the Council (or a Committee established by the Council for this purpose) or be represented by a person acting on his or her behalf, and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.
