70 Million Reasons to Get Behind Gippsland Business Connect

A new local business platform, funded by the Latrobe Valley Authority, is off to a flying start with more than 1,100 users registered and more than 60 local procurement opportunities worth $70 million posted to the platform.

Gippsland Business Connect is an online network for local businesses.

Businesses can sign up to Gippsland Business Connect for free and use it to:

Create a profile and advertise their goods and service. Get recommendations, introductions and quotes from local suppliers. Access a pipeline of future procurements across the region. Promote a business event they’re running. Access a regional calendar of business networking and professional development opportunities.

Since launching Gippsland Business Connect:

1100+ people have registered. 670+ business profiles have been created. 63+ local projects have been listed. $69 million in forward procurement value is now visible. 140+ business events have been promoted through the regional event calendar.

Gippsland Business Connect is part of the GROW Gippsland project which is working to maximise the impact of local spend on the Gippsland economy, particularly focused on creating jobs and making sure everyone gets an opportunity for work in the region.

Gippsland Business Connect is funded by the Latrobe Valley Authority and is a partnership with Baw Baw Shire Council, Bass Coast Shire Council, South Gippsland Shire Council, East Gippsland Shire Council, Wellington Shire Council, Latrobe City Council and the Industry Capability Network.
