The Department of Communities have established Recovery Hubs across the Gladstone Region for residents and property owners who have been affected by the recent CQ Bushfires.
Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said he encouraged the community to access the Recovery Hub following inspections of their property.
“The Hubs are there to provide support with eligibility for relevant grants, livestock advice, temporary accommodation, and mental health first aid,” Councillor Burnett said.
All Recovery Hubs will have representatives from the following organisations:
• Department of Communities • Lifeline, Red Cross, Salvation Army • Queensland Health • Department of Agriculture and Fisheries • Queensland Ambulance Service • Department of Housing • Gladstone Regional Council (water supply, animals, referral) • QFES Community Volunteer Educators “For those residents and property owners starting their clean-up efforts across Deepwater, Baffle Creek, Rules Beach and Oyster Creek, gloves, cleaning products and disinfectant sourced from local providers are available from the Wartburg Sport and Recreation Grounds,” Cr Burnett said.
