Would you like to help shape Macedon Ranges Shire Council’s new Disability Action Plan (DAP).
Council is inviting residents to share their thoughts and help inform the new plan, which will form part of the shire’s Council Plan 2017-2027, rather than a separate plan.
Mayor, Cr Janet Pearce said incorporating the DAP into the Council Plan highlighted Council’s commitment to improving the shire for people with disabilities and their carers, as well as for the community as a whole.
“We would like to hear from as many people as possible on what would be important to include in a Disability Action Plan,” Cr Pearce said.
“We want to reduce barriers and discrimination for people with all types of disabilities.
“We also want to increase inclusion and participation, and we are eager to hear everyone’s ideas.”
You can share your ideas on making the shire a better place for people with disabilities now and into the future until Sunday 20 January 2019.
Submissions can be made online at: Your Say, by email [email protected] or post to PO Box 151, Kyneton, 3444.
