10 December 2018 - Media release

Campaspe Shire Council has today released its new corporate logo and branding, reflecting the organisation’s official legal name and future direction.

Mayor Cr Adrian Weston said he was excited to see the new brand finalised and released.

“The logo now reflects the official name of the organisation – Campaspe Shire Council – as well as addressing the use of the logo in an online environment,” he said.

“Interpretation of the logo links to our three rivers, the Murray, Campaspe and Goulburn. It also reflects connectivity, is vibrant and unifies our diverse landscape and community.”

There will be a progressive rollout of the new brand to ensure it is done in the most cost-effective way.

“We are conscious of minimising the costs involved with changing our brand,” Cr Weston said.

“Over the month ahead we will focus on changing our online information which can be done by our staff.”

“Other information, including signage, will be progressively changed over, as replacements are required. For our town entry signs and many other signs we will use existing structures and resurface or reskin with the new brand.”

Campaspe Shire was formed in 1994, with its current logo launched in April 1995.

“It has served us well over the past 23 years, however we are wanting to reflect the vision in our Council Plan, that we are strong, supportive, vibrant and sustainable,” Cr Weston said.

Campaspe Shire has a vibrant and diverse economy with opportunities for investment, a great lifestyle choice with recreation facilities, shopping and dining, a fantastic tourism destination with plenty on offer from the wineries in the south to the Murray River in the north.

“The new brand is a more accurate representation of what we are already achieving as an organisation and where we are heading,” he added.
