Intro to knitting

Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 4 – 5pm Visible Ink is hosting a series of casual creative hangouts to introduce you to new concepts and mediums. Everything from visual arts to music to sound and lighting equipment. All sessions are free but have limited places, so please book to secure your place. Intro to knitting includes: a 20 minutes tutorial covering the basics of how to cast on and a basic knit stitch 40 minute practical to practice casting on, knit stitch and tension materials will be provided to test your skills out, but participants are encouraged to bring own knitting needles and thread so they may continue at home! Visible Ink is open Wednesday-Friday 12pm-8pm and Saturday 9am-12pm so you will have time after the hangout to finish working on your piece. Requirements: Visible Ink is a safe place for all young people 12-25 years to pursue their creative ideas. People outside of this age range are not permitted to wait inside the space.
