Sunday, December 23 – Thursday, December 27, 2018 To celebrate the festive season in Brisbane, Brisbane City Council will be projecting Natalya Hughes’ Left Delaunay 2 onto the William Jolly Bridge from 23 - 27 December. Natalya Hughes works mainly in painting, digital media and installation, referencing both Eastern and Western art history, and reflecting on an ongoing interest in the aesthetics of decadence and the feminine. The celebratory theme seen in Left Delaunay 2 is evocative of those felt during the festive season in Brisbane. Natalya Hughes’ work has been exhibited in group shows at QAGOMA, Brisbane; Artspace, Sydney; Ian Potter Museum of Art, Melbourne; UQ Art Museum, Brisbane; and QUT Art Museum, Brisbane. She has held solo shows at Milani Gallery, Brisbane; Firstdraft, Sydney; Alaska Projects, Sydney; and Beam, Melbourne.
