This summer, the Perth Scorchers will fire up Lilac Hill Park as they host the rebel Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) for a third consecutive year at the grounds.
The massive weekend series, coordinated by the City of Swan and West Australian Cricket Association (WACA), will commence from 10am across three explosive days: December 29 and 30, 2018 and January 6, 2019.
In addition to the nail-biting game on-field, there will be plenty of entertainment off the field for the whole family.
The Cricket Carnivale will once again come alive for the kids with free rides and water inflatables, Scorchers activities, fan photo booth, giveaways and plenty more.
Spectators can also cool down and kick back in The Boundary Pop Up Bar and Eatery, which will offer delicious food truck fare and an array of refreshing tipples.
City of Swan Mayor David Lucas said the City was looking forward to seeing another knock-out series light up the Swan Valley.
“We are very excited to partner with the Perth Scorchers and WACA once again to deliver another fantastic community event,” he said.
“Last year’s series saw cricket fans come out in force to smash national attendance records out of the park – it was a phenomenal series that we were very proud to be a part of.
“I encourage all to come along for a fantastic free family day out and cheer on our Scorchers to Women’s Big Bash glory!”
Perth Scorchers all-rounder Bhavi Devchand said the Scorchers are looking forward to playing three games at the grounds.
“We play both Sydney teams at Lilac Hill, which means fans will get to see some of the best players from different countries around the world showcase their skills which is so exciting,” she said.
“It’s always a great carnival atmosphere too and I know plenty of families and kids really enjoy it, and it’s all free which means anyone can come down and get involved.
“The girls are always really excited for these games and I’m sure this season’s games will be bigger and better than ever.”
There will be a free shuttle bus running from Guildford Train Station on a continuous loop from 9am until 2.30pm each game day.
Free parking will also be available onsite at Lilac Hill with entry via West Swan Road.
