Do you cycle, walk or ride the East Gippsland Rail Trail? Is the trail as great as it could be?
Share you views, experiences and perceptions of the 94-kilometre trail, which extends from Bairnsdale to Orbost, and help inform an East Gippsland Shire Council strategic business case that could drive wide-ranging improvements.
Council’s aim for the business case is to develop preferred options for future improvements to the trail, including its ongoing maintenance, management and promotion to improve the trail experience, increase usage and enhance the benefits that the trail brings to the region.
The survey will gather information about trail users, your views and perceptions about the trail, and possible improvements. Your views will assist Council in supporting the future development of the rail trail and funding applications to government.
The survey is confidential and will take about 10 minutes, and better still by participating you can go into the draw for a chance to win one of two $100 gift vouchers from Riviera Cycles. All you need to do is provide contact details, which will remain confidential
The survey is a part of a broader project to develop a strategic business case for the rail trail, funded by the State Government, Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, and the Council.
Contact Stephen Kleinitz at East Gippsland Shire Council on (03) 5153 9500 for more information.
The survey is available on online and closes on December 24, 2018.
