New toilets at Elsternwick Park answer nature’s call
Bayside City Council 14 Dec 2018

A new public toilet will make it a more pleasant experience to safely answer the call of nature when exploring Elsternwick Park.

As part of Council’s investment in Elsternwick Park the new toilet replaces the former exeloo facility at Elsternwick Park South.

Council identified there is a demand for highly accessible facilities where people with disabilities and their carers have access to specialist amenities.

The new toilets will improve the parks safety, accessibility and amenity.

The facility includes an all abilities cubicle with baby change table and an ambulant cubicle. It also features an external drinking fountain.

This location was chosen to ensure minimum impact on existing trees and is in an area that will provide high passive surveillance. The toilets will remain locked each night to discourage undesirable behaviour and loitering.
