Christmas and New Year Holiday Hours 2018/19.

Cessnock Council offices and facilities will be closed between Christmas and the New Year. In case of an emergency please phone 4993 4100.  

The following arrangements will apply over the holiday period.  

Administration Centre, Vincent Street, Cessnock  

Closed from 12.00pm, Friday 21 December 2018 until 9.00am Wednesday 2 January 2019.  

Libraries at Cessnock and Kurri Kurri  

Closed from 12.00pm, Friday 21 December 2018 until 9.00am until Wednesday 2 January 2019.  

Swimming Pools at Cessnock and Branxton  

Pools will close at 12.00pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.  Closed Christmas Day only.  On all other Public Holidays, pools will be open from 7.00am to 6.00pm.  

Kurri Kurri Aquatic Centre

Christmas Eve open 5.30am to 12 noon Closed on Christmas Day Boxing Day open 10.00am to 4.00pm New Year’s Eve open 5.30am to 12 noon New Year’s Day open 10.00am to 4.00pm  

Cessnock Waste Management Centre

Closed Christmas Day only, open as normal on other Public Holidays.   

Greta Transfer Station  

Closed Christmas Day only, open as normal on other Public Holidays.  

Kerbside Collections  

There will be no waste collection on Christmas day Tuesday 25 December 2018. Collection operations will be one (1) day behind, with Tuesday’s collections being completed on Wednesday and Wednesday’s on Thursday, etc resulting in Friday’s collections being carried out on Saturday 29 December 2018 . Normal collection service will resume for the week beginning Monday 31 December 2018.  

 Ranger Services

 A Ranger will be on-call during the Christmas period.  In an emergency please call the Police.  

Cessnock Performing Arts Centre

Closed from 12.00pm, Friday 21 December 2018 until 9.00am on Monday 7 January 2019. Bookings still available on-line.  

Hunter Valley Visitors Centre

Closed Christmas Day only.  Public Holidays 9.00am – 4.00pm.  All other days normal operating hours apply 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday-Saturday & 9.00am – 4.00pm Sundays.
