Hundreds of Dalyellup residents shared their ideas about what they would like to see in their community at the inaugural Dalyellup Community Christmas Festival at the weekend.
Department of Communities staff and Shire of Capel staff were connecting with residents to find out what sorts of spaces, activities and places they thought would create a more connected community.
Capel Shire Council Chief Executive Officer Ian McCabe said it was important to gain information from residents in order to deliver services, infrastructure and events which meet the needs of the community.
“From the information we received it was evident that people would like to see more events and more activation of public open spaces,” Mr McCabe said.
“This is the first of a series of consultation opportunities which will take place in Dalyellup over the coming months.
“We are encouraging everyone to have their say and input into how we can make Dalyellup a more connected community.”
If you would like to get involved there will be a Dalyellup Community Actions and Ideas Workshop on Tuesday, 5 February from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. To RSVP visit http://www.dalyellupideasandactions.eventbrite.com.au
