2019 Australia Day Ambassador Announced

The Australia Day Committee is delighted with the announcement that renowned fashion designer and stylist. Donny Galella has been named as Bellingen Shire’s Australia Day Ambassador for 2019.

Donny Galella is one of Australia's most in demand Fashion Stylists with over 14 years experience in the industry. He appears regularly on Channel 7’s The Morning Show and Sunrise and performed the makeovers on the hit show Beauty and the Geek (2013 & 2014).  His vast portfolio includes: styling photo shoots, dressing celebrities for the red carpet such as the Emmy Awards, The Logie Awards, The ARIA Awards, Dally M Awards and the AACTA Awards. 

Bellingen Shire Mayor, Cr Dominic King said “it will be a real honour for our Shire to host such a talented and inspirational Australia Day guest and I hope Donny will take the opportunity to visit some our local business houses during his visit.”

The official Bellingen Shire Australia Day Community Awards presentation will be held on Friday 25 January 2019 at the Dorrigo Community Hall, commencing at 6.30pm with light refreshments and some entertainment commencing at 5.30pm.

The Citizenship Ceremony will be held at 9.00am on Saturday 26 January 2019 in conjunction with a community celebration at the Morgo Street Reserve, Urunga.
