The public will be voting for entries that were submitted as part of the Light Up Your Christmas competition on Council’s Facebook page from 17 December until midnight on 31 December 2018, with winners being announced early in 2019. The entries with the most public votes will win, only one vote is allowed per Facebook user. Displays registered by midnight on Sunday 16 December 2018 will be in the running to win the following prizes.

The sponsor of the Light Up Your Christmas promotion is the City of Charles Sturt. Entrants must live within the City of Charles Sturt, and employees, elected members and their immediate families are not elgibile to enter. The random vote winner must be able to collect the prize from the City of Charles Sturt Civic Centre or a nominated Charles Sturt Library.
