Bike there, scoot there or skate there – just make sure you get to the brand-new Bray Park Pump Track and updated skatepark.
The Bray Park Pump track and skate park upgrade is a joint initiative of Gladstone Regional Council and the Queensland Government.
Wheelie excited for Boyne Island’s newest edition, Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said the track is a fantastic place to take the kids this school holidays.
“Pump tracks are designed for bicycle riders but can also be used for skateboarders, in-line skaters and scooters,” Councillor Burnett said.
“The track looks fantastic, and I am so excited for this new addition for the Boyne Island community.”
Funding for the two projects is through the Queensland Government's Works for Queensland program, which contributed $885,000 out of an expenditure cost of $985,000.
Council allocated $100,000 from the 2017/18 budget to the project.
An official opening of the park will be held in 2019, dates to be confirmed.
