AlburyCity News 20 Dec 2018

The season will start with a documentary on one of Australia’s potent stories, Namatjira, illuminating the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in Australia and globally.

Toni Childs will grace the stage as she celebrates her 30 year anniversary, performing a selection of old favourites and new music from two albums.

The Sapphires, world renowned as four young Aboriginal women who entertained the troops during the Vietnam War, will present a funny and heart-warming tale inspired by the incredible journey of four Yorta Yorta women.

The Point of No Return is the incredible true story of Tasmania’s Point Puer Boy’s Prison established in 1834.

The Three Chinese Tenors, an internationally recognised ensemble, will bring to the stage energy, passion and operatic fireworks as they perform a range of traditional and popular opera.

The Melbourne Chamber Orchestra will return with From My Life. Rhythmic jokes, harmonic twists of the knife and razor-sharp wit come together to give us Haydn at his best.

Evening Stars features West End musical star Per Cousens and legendary flautist Jane Rutter in an extraordinary night of popular classical pieces and romantic songs by some of the world’s greatest composers.

The Café Culture Series will feature Fever, The New Hip, Canyon and Dr Hernandez. All four performances will take a different twist and style.

We welcome our community theatre companies with Albury Wodonga Theatre Company presenting Kinky Boots, Bytesized Productions presenting Camp Rock, the Musical and Revolution Theatre Production will bring an all-time favourite musical to life with Jesus Christ Superstar.

The venue offers a membership program with great benefits, including reduced ticket prices and access to The Cube and HotHouse theatre season shows.
