As the region and Echuca Moama prepares to welcome an influx of tourists, Campaspe Shire Council has coordinated a number of activations and activities in Echuca’s port precinct.
Mayor, Cr Adrian Weston said he welcomed the initiative which supports the Echuca Port Precinct Plan’s vision, “a place to take your time, relax and enjoy yourself.”
“The activities will enable families to relax in the precinct, enjoy the pop-up park, visit the attractions, cafes, restaurants and businesses,” he said.
“Activities include an animal nursery, face painting, wood cutting, arts and crafts, live music, a pop-up cinema, small steam engines, camel and pony rides, and more,” Cr Weston said.
Initially these events will take place between Hopwood Gardens, along Murray Esplanade, to the southern entry point of the port, prior to expanding throughout the precinct.
A program of what’s on each week will be available through Echuca Moama Tourism, the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre and posted through council’s Facebook page.
