Council is currently assessing an application for use and development of land for a primary and secondary school on Green Wedge land in Narre Warren East.
It is proposed to develop the land for use as a school, including the construction of several buildings, car parking, and other supporting infrastructure.
The site, on Belgrave-Hallam Road, currently comprises sheds and a dwelling, with several farm dams on the property.
The application also includes altering access to a road in Road Zone Category 1 and removal of native vegetation.
Council is currently awaiting further information on the application, which was lodged in November. Upon receipt of this information the application will be formally notified including direct letter drops, signs on site and an advert in the news paper.
Yarra Ranges residents and other interested parties can make submissions regarding the application and appropriate community consultation will be undertaken on conclusion of the notification process.
The application will be assessed before being decided at a Council meeting in 2019.
