The urgent closure of Railway Parade, Lithgow from Tank Street to Eskbank Street will be effected commencing 21 December 2018.
Commencing 21 December 2018, Railway Parade, Lithgow between Tank Street and Eskbank Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
As a result of the storm event on 20 December 2018, structural engineers have advised that there are concerns regarding the integrity of the structure located at 5 Railway Parade, Lithgow. In order to ensure the safety of the public, access will be restricted until further notice.
Pedestrian access will be provided to businesses operating in this area. Council has been advised by representatives of owners of the building that restoration works will commence shortly.
Minor alterations to the scope of the closure may occur over time. Residents are urged to note that traffic conditions will change in this area and traffic diversions will be in place. Please exhibit caution and patience while travelling through the area.
