Permanent closure of Hennessy Road, Whiteman

Hennessy Road, Whiteman, north of Jules Steiner Memorial Drive to the intersection of the newly constructed Tonkin Highway (approx. 400m south of Gnangara Road) will be permanently closed from Saturday, January 19, 2019.

Following public input and consideration of this proposal and the submissions lodged thereon, the City of Swan under delegated authority, ordered that the above portion of Hennessy Road, Whiteman be permanently closed to vehicular traffic.

This road closure forms part of the Northlink WA Central Section Project which is extending Tonkin Highway from Reid Highway to Ellenbrook. The works will provide improved access to surrounding suburbs, increased safety and better traffic flow.
