Annual Report 2017/18

The Annual Report for the financial year 2017/18, which includes the Annual Financial Statements and Auditors Reports, was adopted by Council at the December meeting 19 December; the Annual Electors’ meeting was held later the same day.

Extractive Industry – Lot 3720 Davies Road, Capel River

Council granted Development Approval for ‘Industry-Extractive’ on Lot 3720 Davies Road, Capel River for a period of five years subject to conditions. This was accepted in accordance with the Shire of Capel Extractive Industries Local Law 2016.

Bunbury – Wellington 2050 Cycling Strategy

Council endorsed the principles of the Bunbury – Wellington 2050 Cycling Strategy and received the proposed Action Plan for future budget and planning consideration.

Tender 18/03 – Capel Civic Precinct Stage 3A (Car Park) Development works Council appointed Carbone Bros Pty Ltd as the successful tenderer for Capel Civic Precinct Stage 3A – Car park. It approved the project expenditure of $212,035 (excluding GST) as detailed in Tender No. 18/03 for construction of Capel Civic Precinct (Stage 3A) – Car Park.

Policy 2.25 – Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainability

Council adopted a significant review of Policy 2.25 Corporate Sustainability, which better reflects the Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainability Committee change in strategic direction, by adopting draft Policy 2.25 – Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainability.
