2019 South Australian Wooden Boat Festival
Call for volunteers
The South Australian Wooden Boat Festival (SAWBF) will return to the Goolwa Wharf Precinct on 27 and 28 April and planning is well underway.
The festival will be ready to welcome the thousands of locals and visitors that come to experience the magic and nostalgia that accompany the event. The mix of on-and-off water activities, local food and wine and gorgeous wooden boats is expected to attract in excess of 20,000 people.
Established by a group of local boat enthusiasts in 1989, the event is Australia’s only freshwater wooden boat festival and its unique location at the end of the mighty Murray River, in a town steeped with boating tradition, sets the ideal scene.
If you would like to be part of the amazing team that helps with the running of this iconic event, please consider becoming a festival volunteer. There are many volunteer roles to fill, catering to a range of skills, experiences and interests. Visit www.sawoodenboatfestival.com.au for more information.
